Video-sharing And Supervision System for Computers

Teachers' aid for the students through special hardware network

The TanNet Professional system is an improved version of the earlier TanNet system.
By using TanNet Pro teaching and supervision system the teacher can observe and assist the activities of computerised work stations without having to leave his/her seat. It can be used either with individual computers or with computers in a network. The system allows for the switching over of monitors, keyboards and mice. The TanNet Pro system is a special hardware network, for its operation there is no need for any kinds of software either on the teacher's or the learners' computers, thus it can be used for the teaching of any programmes. In contrast with software based networks, by this system not only character pictures or graphic pictures, but even moving (XGA) pictures with higher resolution can be transmitted between the teacher's and the learners' computers. The system's capability has grown from 20 to 30, so now it can supervise a maximum of 30 computers!

 

Options of the TanNet Pro system

  The video picture of the teacher's computer can be displayed on any learner's monitor or on the screens of all the computers.

  The screen of the selected computer can be shown to other users.

  The handling of the programme can be descriptively shown to the learners.

  Real time picture transmission to all users at the same time.

  The picture of the central analogue video source (e.g. video recorder) can be displayed on the monitors (+ with the installation of a video/VGA converter) thus the monitors can also function as televisions.

  The system can supervise a maximum of 30 computers.

  At 1280x1240 resolution, the refresh-frequency is 85Hz.

  The picture visible on a selected learner's monitor can be shown to all the other learners.

  The teacher can display the monitor picture of any learner on his/her own monitor, in this way he/she can see the learner's work.

  The teacher can control any learner's PC with his/her own keyboard and mouse .

  The quick checking and correction of the learners' work is possible on the teacher's PC.

 

Well-arranged wordings on the teacher's unit allow simple handling. The learners' units do not need any operational activities by the learners, in this way they do not divert the learners' attention from the programme being taught. The teacher is able

to transfer much more information, material to the learners by the TanNet Pro system and at the same time he/she can more efficiently supervise and assist the learners' individual work. For operating the system no networking-software is needed.
